Morrison’s embarked on a multi-year project focused on enhancing energy efficiency, reducing costs, and improving loss prevention. Our collaboration began in 2020, when we provided prototypes for illuminating the beers, wines, spirits, and health & beauty displays.
The initial rollout included bespoke LED light panels at 6500K, designed to be compatible with both existing and new metal shelving. The design incorporated water ingress protection to handle potential spills, ensuring reliable performance over long-term installations.
In early 2024, we shifted focus to loss prevention, with premium merchandise displayed behind doors featuring electromagnetic locks to deter theft. We proposed a lighting system that illuminated the edges of the door frames, emitting light inward to achieve the desired effect. Using our PRO Range linear lighting, with high CRI and low R9 values, we provided a complete plug-and-play kit.
Most recently, we refined our design further to focus on cost savings. The number of LED drivers was halved and we implemented a quick connector system to service multiple shelves, these improvements significantly reduced installation time. We also delivered pre-assembled LED drivers and magnetised cables, to optimise site time.
