Sainsbury’s first store to showcase our latest generation raft lighting

Sainsbury’s has taken its Cobham supermarket to the next level with a comprehensive store upgrade. Both the fresh produce hall and the beers, wines, and spirits section now benefit from a state-of-the-art design.

The Bright Group of companies was approached to supply an innovative ceiling lighting system. The sleek new design enhances efficiency while requiring minimal maintenance. Our sister company, Bright Green Space, specialises in combining structure and light, offering bespoke ceiling rafts made from extruded aluminium profiles. These lightweight, durable structures are resistant to environmental factors and degradation.

The space is illuminated with Bright Green Linear on our second-generation PCB, which delivers higher light output when powered by DALI drivers for full lighting control. The lighting is discreetly integrated into the recess of the ceiling rafts, alongside cable runs and power, creating a seamless aesthetic and eliminating the need for traditional overhead store lighting.

This project is another example of our commitment to the retail sector, complementing our existing Products, including light boxes, plug-and-play systems, power track kits, and shelf lighting. We continuously evolve our product range to enhance efficiency, working closely with our clients to reduce costs, streamline installation times, and maintain exceptional illumination quality.
