40 Bank Street, Canary Wharf, is a recently refurbished scheme of the ground floor building within the Canary Wharf estate. A grand reception space was created with illuminated areas along the entrance walkway, ceiling and around the reception desk.
The bespoke look and feel required custom built wooden fins that were to be accompanied by illuminated panels. We manufactured 10 customised 2705mm long lightboxes utilising our slimline 45mm double sided profile which has the advantage of only requiring a single 8mm acrylic panel to provide bright, even tuneable white led light to both fascia’s. Housed in aluminium extrusions that were powder coated to match the interior design and finished with customised stretch fabric.
Dynamic white is particularly effective for architectural features especially when set to follow a circadian pattern. It also provides complete flexibility allowing the colour temperature to be dialled in post installation from 2700-6500K. Maintenance was a key consideration when commissioning this project, by using the stretch fabric they are extremely easy to fit, remove and replace.
Our sister company Bright Green Connect supplied the power and control for this project. LTech LM series drivers are high efficiency drivers, slimline in design that incorporate advanced flicker free dimming down to 0.1%. With compatibility for a range of control protocols including DALI DT8, making them the ideal choice for the project with installation into the cavity’s located within the wooden panelling.
